Reading difficulties may appear in several forms, including:
Omitting parts of words while reading, such as pronouncing a word incompletely or leaving out part of it.
Adding extra sounds, letters, or words, whether within a word or across the sentence being read.
Substituting one word for another, sometimes with a similar meaning and sometimes with a word that has no meaning in the context.
Repeating words or parts of sentences أثناء القراءة.
Reversing or substituting letters and sounds, which may affect accurate word recognition.
Difficulty distinguishing between letters with similar written forms, especially letters that are visually close in shape.
Difficulty following letters and words in sequence, which may lead to repetition, skipping words, or moving unintentionally to a nearby line.
These signs may indicate the need for early educational assessment and appropriate support to help the child improve reading accuracy, fluency, and confidence.
